Nau Ivanow is an old factory transformed into a performing arts creation space. Among other services we specialize in artist-in-residence programs, through which we aim to assist companies in their artistic processes without interfering in the creation itself. We meet their needs providing them with infrastructure and management support.
Our mission is to facilitate the creation, mobilty and internationalization of projects, as well as training of cultural professionals, especially those in emerging performing arts companies or collectives.
We encourages the exchange of ideas and complicities between companies and we also work for the professionalization of the performing arts, especially for young and emerging companies. Projects doesn’t have to follow any specific line of work, in fact, we provide the tools to create and develop projects with total freedom.
We believe that networking, collaboration, and sharing are the future of artistic processes and creative spaces.
We want to be an international reference in professionalization, mobility and artist in residence programs, while helping to dignify the stage industry.
We also want become a space where communities from all over the territory can coexist with the performing arts companies and can be part of the creative processes too.
Some of our main values are the confidence and familiarity that we offer to the companies, the adaptability of our spaces to experiment calmly and flexibily, the commitment of our team and the proximity and the responsibility with the community. And all of this with the highest professionalism, quality and rigor.
Nau Ivanow has the Crítica Serra d’Or prize for the best proposal and FAD Barcelona prize, Aplaudiment Sebastià Gasch, for an emerging creation.
